Sunken Cavern is an unusual dungeon. It is almost entirely a shmup-style shooting stage with the Mermaid, and contains its own Warp Pedestals. The only other room in this dungeon (aside from those with Warp Pedestals and Save Guys) is a dark room, which can only be navigated by following the torches on the walls and the movement patterns of enemies.
According to Risky Boots, the cavern is where the Magic Lamp was excavated.

Boss[]
The second version of the Steam Powered Oceanic Tinker Tub is the boss of this dungeon, followed by the final boss, Nega-Shantae.
